Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using S⁴ Classes ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. Access is granted by an administrator; you must be an authorised user.

2. Description of Service

S⁴ Classes is an education management platform that provides dashboards for students, teachers, and administrators. Features include test management, attendance tracking, fee management, AI-powered tools, copy checking, notifications, and analytics.

3. User Accounts

  • Accounts are created by administrators. You authenticate via Google OAuth.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
  • You must not share credentials or allow others to access your account.
  • Administrators may deactivate accounts at their discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data
  • Abuse AI features (quiz generation, doubt solver, flashcards) beyond assigned limits
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with Platform operations
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another user

5. Content & Intellectual Property

  • Educational content (notes, videos, worksheets, books) uploaded by teachers and admins remains the property of the respective uploaders.
  • Student-submitted work (copies, assignments) remains the student's property.
  • The Platform's design, branding, and code are owned by S⁴ Classes.
  • AI-generated content (quiz questions, flashcards, grading reports) is provided for educational use only.

6. Fees & Payments

Fee amounts and payment cycles are set by the administrator. Payments are made directly to the institution (cash, bank transfer, or other methods agreed upon). The Platform serves as a record-keeping and notification tool; it does not process payments.

7. AI Features

  • AI features are powered by third-party models via AWS Bedrock.
  • AI-generated content is for educational guidance only and may contain errors.
  • AI usage is subject to limits configured by administrators.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI grading or recommendations.

8. Notifications

By using the Platform, you consent to receiving educational and administrative notifications via email. You may opt out of non-essential notifications through your Settings page.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or AI-generated content inaccuracies.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms or at the administrator's request. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
